  • 1 cup atta (whole wheat flour)
  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)


  1. In a heavy bottom pan or kadai, add the ghee and let it melt on low flame.
  2. Once the ghee is melted, add the besan and atta to the pan.
  3. Roast the besan and atta on low flame for around 15-20 minutes or until it turns golden brown in color. Make sure to continuously stir the mixture to avoid burning.
  4. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down for a few minutes.
  5. Once the mixture has cooled down, add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to it. Mix it well.
  6. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round ball. Repeat this process for the rest of the mixture.
  7. If desired, you can roll the laddus in chopped nuts.
  8. Store the Atta Besan Laddus in an airtight container.
